Directors Guild of America: June 12-13, 2009
Online Short/Video – 1-3 minutes
$2,000 cash for best short/video online; $1,000 for 2nd place
· Short/video featuring real-life stories of a donor, donor family, candidate for transplant or transplant recipient (reality/documentary style).
· Short/video of a family being approached about donating their loved one’s organs (scripted). Organ donation professionals are available to assist with storyline ideas & provide actors. Contact Tenaya Wallace at 213-229-5659
Longer Format Film
$3,000 cash for best longer format independent films; $1,000 for 2nd and 3rd place
· Stories of a living organ donor and recipient (scripted or documentary).
· Stories of deceased donation (scripted or documentary).
· Dramatized stories of living or deceased donation (scripted).
Television Programming
We are honoring:
· Dramatic or comedy TV storyline on organ/tissue donation or transplantation.
· Reality TV storyline on organ/tissue donation or transplantation.
· TV news program on organ/tissue donation or transplantation.
Professional Videos by Organ and Tissue Non-Profits
We are looking for:
· Videos used for purposes of education on organ/tissue donation.
