Ever wonder what Jamie Farr is up to these days? (In case you are too young to remember, Jamie Farr starred in M*A*S*H as Corp. Klinger). In addition to starring in a Broadway show recently, Mr. Farr, who hails from Toledo, was kind enough to record a couple of public service announcements for the Alliance For Paired Donation. The Alliance for Paired Donation is a 501c3 organization headquartered in Toledo, OH, whose mission is to save lives by shortening the waiting time for kidney transplant recipients through kidney paired donation. In our most recent match run, with just 167 incompatible pairs in the system, we have found possible matches for more than 20 patients. It is our hope that one day kidney paired donation will enable up to as many as 3000 additional transplants each year.
